Estate & probate
Personal property appraisal, retrospective valuation, estate contents review, and disposition planning.
For attorneys and law firms
Legal matters frequently involve property that must be identified, valued, preserved, divided, or sold. Prime works with attorneys and their clients on personal property appraisals, estate and probate matters, fiduciary assignments, and real estate or personal property auctions.

Personal property appraisal, retrospective valuation, estate contents review, and disposition planning.
Independent valuation of household contents, art, jewelry, furniture, collections, and other personal property.
Documented valuation and structured asset-sale support, with roles and reporting defined for the assignment.
Auction strategy for inherited, fiduciary-managed, or otherwise time-sensitive property when the property and terms fit.
Evaluation, cataloging, marketing, and auction of appropriate property and collections.
When an appraisal is required, the assignment should identify its intended use, intended users, value definition, effective date, included property, and reporting requirements. Prime performs current and retrospective personal property appraisal assignments and prepares USPAP-compliant written reports within the agreed scope.
The appraisal scope is distinct from any auction or disposition engagement. A valuation opinion does not guarantee a sale price or outcome in a later transaction.
A file may involve multiple assets, beneficiaries, deadlines, or access requirements. Prime can discuss a defined appraisal, auction, or transition scope with counsel and the client’s authorized representative. Legal strategy, advice, and representation remain with counsel.
Share the property or assignment, the people involved, the timing, and the decision you need to make. Prime will review the situation before recommending a scope.
